If you are considering a divorce, you have the right to straightforward, honest information. I pride myself in setting realistic expectations based on your situation.

To do that, I will take the time to listen to you. Your case is unique and should be treated as such. You are at a very vulnerable time in your life, I will not mislead you to make you temporarily feel better, I will offer you guidance and support through these difficult times and assist you to identify realistic goals to bring this phase of your life to a civil ending and assist you in beginning your new future. I believe in first considering the possibility of mediation to resolve the issues in your divorce. Mediation has been used successfully in reaching agreements dividing marital assets and liabilities. There is another form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), Collaborative Law.

In mediation, there is a mediator working with you and your spouse, using a variety of skills to assist you and your spouse to work through your emotions, reestablish a level of communication and reach agreements. In Collaborative Law, each spouse has an attorney and with these attorneys the parties work together to reach agreements. Both of these are private, confidential processes which can result in agreements the parties want and not what is dictated by the court. Whether I am working with you as your mediator or as your collaborative law attorney I will support you and assist you through the emotional stress and the many questions and issues. I will help you reach amicable resolutions in this very difficult time of your life.

Of course, I am realistic. I understand that an amicable resolution cannot always be reached. If mediation or Collaborative Law is not an option, I will not hesitate to take your case to court. I am an experienced courtroom attorney who will stand strong to protect your interests.

I am able to address divorce and all of its related issues, including:

  • Child Custody
  • Child Support
  • Spousal Support/Alimony
  • Property Division
